Our 220,000 square foot facility is located just next to Hobby Airport in Houston, TX and is the largest metallic gasket manufacturing plant in the world. The building features a 20,000 square foot office to house the Corporate Headquarters as well as a 200,000 square foot state of the art plant.
On a trip through the plant, production can be followed from a Raw Material state, into a designated department such as: Heat Exchanger, Spiral Wound, Bolt, Hose, Ring Joint, and Soft Gasket, and finally into Finished Goods.
The Raw Material section of our plant is approximately 25,000 square feet and holds a wide variety of alloys, soft materials and other raw goods. The large stock of assorted sheet materials such as 304 and 316 stainless steel, Aluminum, Hastelloy B®, Inconel®, Titanium as well as unusual metals like 317L, INC 625, INC 825, HAST X, Tantalum and Zirconium solidifies Lamons reputation of being able to manufacture high quality gaskets from a broad range of materials.
Our "Heat Exchanger Gasket" department can manufacture a wide array of gasket types including Kammprofiles, CMG's and metal jacketed type gaskets.This department occupies approximately 40,000 square feet of plant space. Lamons specialized staff and state of the art equipment are capable of producing these gaskets from both sheet and bar material. The bend and weld process has been successfully utilized to sizes of over 350 inches.
Spiral Wound Gaskets have long been a popular gasket in industy due to it availability in various sizes, shapes and densities. Due to the high demand of these gaskets this department is Lamons largest occupying approximately 50,000 square feet of the overall space. This departments machines and personell possess the ability to fabricate large volumes of high quality gaskets out of a broad range of raw materials.
Lamons is stocked with all common diameter Bolts and Fasteners. In an area of approximately 25,000 square feet, the bolt department consists of warehousing and specialty bolt saws. The plant is equipped and ready to cut these to any length required.
As a fabricator and distributor of both industrial and hydraulic hose, Lamons has in stock a wide selection to meet any requirements. The Hose department is approximately 10,000 square feet and is capable of welding metal hoses, cutting rubber hose to any length, as well as attaching couplings and hose assembly.
Lamons Ring Joint Department is capable of producing many types of Ring Joints from many materials. Lamons stocks a wide range of sizes and materials ready for immediate shipment from R11 to R105. Stock materials include soft iron, low carbon steel, 4-6 chrome (F5), 304 & 304L, 316 & 316L, 347, 410, Monel, Iconel and Incoloy. This accounts for about 30,000 square feet.
Lamons is one of the worlds largest soft gasket distributors. The 20,000 square foot soft gasket department possesses a large inventory of various sheet materials including inorganic and carbon fiber, graphite, teflon and rubber products. This large department is fully equiped with a broad range of machines such as water jets, knife machines and press stations. Standard and custom sized gaskets can be manufactured to meet your requirements.
