Lamons University

Lamons is pleased to announce the launch of our formal technical training program, Lamons University. For years, Lamons has offered training programs bringing the latest in sealing and bolting technology to our customers. We have traditionally performed training either at our customer facilities or in conference rooms at one of our numerous branches throughout the world. The services will still be available at the convenience of our customers, however the formation of a formal certification program at our Houston corporate headquarters is a new offering that will provide our customers and partners an opportunity to receive a unique learning experience. In conjunction with our widely acclaimed class presentations, participants will also benefit from witnessing the latest gasket and fastener fabrication techniques in conjunction with hands on application training. With classroom aids, such as bolted joints and a new Flange Assembly Demonstration Unit (FADU) from Jjenco, Inc, the tools will allow the participant to understand joint elasticity and bolt interaction. This formal class setting will offer the newest gasket and applications technologies as well as hands on bolting opportunities. Formalizing these training modules and combining them to create a comprehensive training and certification program has been the result of efforts from Lamons’ Engineering Department, with assistance from Sales and Marketing staff. The focus is heavily weighed toward engineering and technical topics so that the participant leaves with a firm grasp on gaskets and fasteners and how the components interact in a bolted joint assembly. For class scheduling availability or organizing a group within your facility, please contact your local Lamons Sales contact.
